About Us

Lawrence Weston and Shirehampton Out of School Activities Club is a local, independent charity providing after-school and holiday care for children aged 4 to 12 in North Bristol. We have been running for over 25 years and are now the only organisation to provide this much-needed service in the BS11 area. 

We provide after-school care from Monday to Friday, 3 pm - 6pm for  children from the following schools: 

• Shirehampton Primary
• St Bernard's RC Primary
• Our Lady of the Rosary  RC Primary
• Oasis Long Cross

Our clubs are based at Shirehampton Primary School and The Rock Community Centre in Lawrence Weston. We collect children directly from school to take them to their nearest location. 

Our Playschemes operate from Shirehampton Primary School during the school holidays, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm.

· We have links with the Food Bank, providing support to local families. 

· During the Summer Holiday Playscheme, we gave over 600 free meals to children from 45        local families through the Department of Education’s funding initiative.

· We employ staff from within our local community.
