The HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme is a government-funded scheme that gives children and young people the chance to enjoy fun, free activities during the school holidays – and it includes a healthy meal each day too!
It’s designed for families who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals, helping to take some of the pressure off during the longer breaks. From sports and games to arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures, there's always something exciting going on. It’s a great way for children to make new friends, try new things, and stay active and well-fed during the holidays – all at no cost to you.
If you think your child might be eligible, or you just want to know more about what we offer through HAF, feel free to get in touch – we’re happy to help!
We know that school holidays can be a tough time for many families – whether it’s finding affordable childcare, keeping the kids active, or just making sure they’re having fun in a safe, supportive space.
That’s why, alongside the HAF programme, we also offer spaces for children who may not receive free school meals but still need a bit of extra support. This could include those experiencing difficult circumstances at home, or families facing severe financial pressures. These sessions include fun activities, a healthy meal, and a caring environment where your child can feel safe, included, and happy. We also are part of the foodbank.
If you’re unsure whether your child might qualify, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Each case is based on individual circumstances.
